Alapatt Palathingal Charitable Society is an organisation with in the Alapatt Palathingal Tharavattuyogam and it is formed to help the needy. Alapatt Palathingal Charitable Society was formed in January 26th, 1993.It is governed by a separate body elected from the members of the Alapatt Palathingal Charitable Society. It was aimed at helping the poor in their needs like education, job, health problems etc. Contributions amounting to Rupees five lakhs from more than hundred members are the working capital of the Society. Every year Society provides nearly Rupees fifty thousand to the needy and it has helped many for their children’s education, daughter’s marriage, building of houses and hospital expenses. Last year the Society took the leadership to build a house for a homeless person in Kattoor. Society took the initiative and spent around Rupees three lakhs fifty thousand to build the house in a kind gesture of help with the co-operation of family members. The effort put in by the Society to help the deserving, proves the social commitment of the Family Association.
